KIRIU USA Corporation Completes Expansion (November 27, 2012) - The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and local officials today helped KIRIU USA celebrate the completion of the company’s latest expansion project, which totaled $10 million in capital investment and 10 to 15 new jobs. (MORE)

Beshear Announces Davert USA to Establish Operations in Bowling Green, Create 20 Jobs (November 20, 2012) - Governor Steve Beshear today joined company and local officials to welcome Davert USA to Bowling Green. Beshear Announces RC Components to Expand Manufacturing Operations in Bowling Green, Add 16 Jobs (September 24, 2012) - Governor Steve Beshear today joined community and company officials in Bowling Green to announce an expansion for RC Components. South Central Kentucky Regional Development Authority Receives $65,000 Grant (July 3, 2012)--The Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (KWIB) has awarded a $65,000 Industry Partnership Grant to the South Central Kentucky Regional Development Authority (RDA), which will use the funds to implement the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership of Warren County. The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce oversees the RDA. MORE

Hitcents.com Celebrates Groundbreaking in Downtown Bowling Green (June 22, 2012)--Hitcents.com, city and county leaders, and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the company's plans for a location in downtown Bowling Green with a groundbreaking ceremony today. Hitcents is the first business to announce that it will occupy the commercial wrap surrounding the new parking structure at College Street and Eighth Avenue. Yahagi America Molding, Inc. to Expand Facility in Edmonson County (May 7, 2012)--Yahagi America Molding, Inc. (YAMI) has announced that it will expand its facility in Edmonson County, Kentucky. The Training Consortium of South Central Kentucky Celebrates Supervisor Certificate Graduation (May 2, 2012)--The Training Consortium of South Central Kentucky celebrated the graduation of its second Supervisor Certificate Program cohort on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, with 11 graduating from the program. The program consists of nine core courses and six electives. Bowling Green Technical College provides technical training expertise for Lean Manufacturing and safety courses. WKU faculty and staff deliver the professional development courses, including basic business practices, time management, problem-solving and customer service. MORE
Taggart Solar, LLC Will Locate in Edmonson County (April 9, 2012)--Taggart Solar, LLC has announced its plans to locate a new manufacturing facility in the Edmonson County Industrial Park in Edmonson County in a 10,000-sq-ft leased building. The company will employ 30 individuals when the project is complete. The project's announced capital investment is more than $440,000. MORE
Chamber, Others Announce Collaboration with U.S. Commercial Service (March 13, 2012)--Leaders of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Commercial Service, along with U.S. Congressman Brett Guthrie and Dr. Jeffrey Katz, dean of Western Kentucky University's Gordon Ford College of Business, participated in a news conference today to announce the pledge between the Chamber and the U.S. Commercial Service to provide educational and one-on-one services to local existing businesses regarding export opportunities. Submissions Now Accepted for 2012 Buck$ for Bright Ideas Competition (March 8, 2012)--The Central Region Innovation & Commercialization Center (Central Region ICC) is now accepting applications for the 2012 Buck$ for Bright Ideas Competition. This competition, hosted by the Central Region ICC and Western Kentucky University's Center for Research & Development, is a publicly funded program to encourage entrepreneurs to submit their plans to implement an innovative idea, product or invention. Warren County Certified as a Work Ready Community (February 16, 2012)--Warren County is now a Work Ready Community, according to the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (KWIB), which awarded this certification during its KWIB meeting today. Warren County is one of the first counties in Kentucky to receive this designation, which demonstrates that Warren County has the workforce capacity to staff existing jobs and to master the innovative technologies that new jobs will require in the future. Holley Performance Products Announces $7 Million+ Expansion (February 3, 2012)--Holley Performance Products has announced an expansion at its Bowling Green facility. This project includes a capital investment of more than $7 million to build the new distribution center and, as a result of the expansion, will create up to 136 new jobs over the next several years to its already existing workforce of more than 250 employees in Bowling Green. CSX Names Kentucky Transpark a Select Site (January 13, 2012)—CSX has certified Lot 6 of the Kentucky Transpark as a CSX Select Site, ranking it as one of only five sites in the nation to be considered the best manufacturing properties on CSX’s rail network spanning 23 states. Lot 6 is the only site in Kentucky—and one of only two sites in the southeastern United States--to receive this certification. MORE
